Vidya Balan was born on 1 January 1978 is an Indian film actress. She is best known for her roles in Parineeta, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Ishqiya, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani and Ghanchakkar. She always had to struggle to keep her weight under control, till she realised that she had been doing things the wrong way; she would starve herself and go without eating for sometimes twelve to fourteen hours. All this would inevitably lead to weight gain. Let us look at her fitness training.

Exercises and Equipments
She work out at home and don’t go to gym. She do calisthenics, which is basically using your own body weight, like you do in yoga, to strengthen your core. She also do a bit of cardio.
She work out 4 to 5 times a week with her trainer Vilayat Hussain. Her master plan consists of at least eight hours of shut eye and some dietary changes. She also intends to go against her basic nature and hit the gyms as well. Her aim is to maintain her curvaceous body while losing excess fat.
Eating and Nutrition
She has roti-subzi-daal, even rice, but never mixes roti and rice. She follows the same rule for fruits and refuses to mix apples and oranges. She avoids maida with a vengeance, preferring to have multi grain bread instead.
I've started drinking lots of water and eating fibre-rich foods. Adding eggs to my diet has helped, though I am a staunch vegetarian otherwise. I also love juices especially the wheatgrass and amla concoctions, She says.
